Visitors to Rock Island Bridge were recently entertained by a jazz band performing on a small boat. The stunt is reminiscent of the era in which three-hour jazz cruises were a popular Kansas City diversion. Plastic Sax vaguely recalls taking dates on romantic excursions aboard the Missouri River Queen in the 1980s.
